Job Grinder · AI job search

Automatic job search, with a daily shortlist

Save your job preferences once. Job Grinder runs your search each morning while you are active, compares openings with your experience, and brings up to three relevant roles to your dashboard. Spend your time reviewing opportunities instead of repeating the same search.

US-first job discovery, starting with software engineers. Daily scans are available to active free and paid accounts; AI ranking depends on your plan or introductory access.

How automated job matching works

  1. Build your search profile

Add your experience, skills, target role, locations, and work preferences. The saved search gives the daily scan a starting point you can change as your search develops.

  2. Let the daily search run

The daily scan checks supported sources and selects suitable roles you have not acted on. When AI ranking is available, it orders the shortlist and explains the choices.

  3. Review matches and take the next step

Compare each role with your goals, open the original posting, and decide whether to apply. Keep your tailored resume and application progress together in Job Grinder.

Job Grinder Discover: frontend job matches in Austin and remote US, with fit explanations and links to employer postings.
The real Discover screen, using a fictional candidate and public job postings. Results depend on your profile, preferences, and available openings.

Example: an automatic search for frontend jobs

A fictional frontend engineer in Austin has React and TypeScript experience and wants remote US roles or a hybrid Austin position. Here is how to turn that goal into a useful saved search.

Set the role and skills

Use “frontend engineer” as the target role and include React and TypeScript in your experience. Broader titles can help find adjacent roles, but a title alone is weak evidence of fit.

Set the location and work mode

Save Austin and your preferred remote or hybrid work arrangement. Keep your location and preferences up to date when your plans change.

Choose from the evidence

Read the requirements behind each match. A role that asks for React and accessible interfaces may be worth a closer look; a senior management role can be a poor fit even when it mentions the same stack.

Open the employer’s posting before applying. A remote label can still mean US residents only, specific time zones, or occasional office visits. A strong skills match does not establish work authorization or sponsorship eligibility.

Frequently asked questions

What is automatic job search?

It means running a saved job search again without re-entering the same criteria each day. Job Grinder uses your profile and search preferences to find roles and prepare a daily shortlist for active users. You still choose which opportunities to pursue.

When will I receive my daily job matches?

Daily picks are prepared for accounts active within the last seven days, starting from 6 a.m. in your browser’s time zone. Timing depends on processing and source availability. The card appears when suitable picks are ready; an inactive account resumes after you return.

Is automated job search available on the free plan?

The daily scan does not deduct AI credits. Paid plans and the first seven days of a new free account include an AI ranking step for the shortlist. Other free accounts receive the standard matcher’s top picks. Separate on-demand AI actions can use credits.

Does the AI job finder search every job on the internet?

Job Grinder looks for relevant openings from supported job sources. It does not cover every employer or guarantee that every listing is current. Check the original posting for availability, location restrictions, and application instructions.

Does automatic job search also apply to jobs for me?

Finding a role does not submit an application. You can tailor a resume and apply yourself. AI-assisted form filling is a separate invitation-only auto-apply beta, with your approval required before submission.
